Book Review #23 - Sophia X Von by Victoria Ray

Good Day, Sophia X Von by Victoria Ray The entire time that I took to read the book, there were a few feelings that were constant. I was hooked, and at the edge of my seat, curious as to what will happen next and tied to the mystery and thrill of the book. A very well written and presented book with commendable language use. The descriptions of places and scenarios are so vivid that one can imagine the events taking place right in front of them. As a reader, you will immediately and undoubtedly connect to the hero of the book. Such an intricately woven character with a tremendous storyline. A female character with such an enigma is quite brilliant. A great book and must-read. Whether you love suspense or you do not, don’t miss out on this book.

Book Review #22 - The Seven Epaulettes of Leadership by Shawn Abrams

Good Day, The Seven Epaulettes of Leadership by Shawn Abrams After reading the book to completion, my idea for the word leadership has changed. The author has lucidly written the book and very minute details of the term leadership and the roles a leader has to play. After reading the book I am sure that it will surely enhance the leadership qualities as this is not just another self-help book it focusses on emotional and mental comfort zones. One of the quotes which I like about the book is "People don't quit the job they quit the management". This book contained very helpful examples, exercises which will certainly help you to become a better person, in turn, making you aa better leader to be suited for the problems you will be facing as a leader. It also covers the topic of mentoring. Writing style and language used by the author are not very tough to comprehend. Once I started reading the book I was not able to keep it down. Topics are very well segregat

Series Discussion #1 - Rick and Morty S3 Ep7: The Ricklantis Mixup

Image
Good Day Rick and Morty S3 Ep7: The Ricklantis Mixup No book review this week. I got super lazy this week and read very few pages of "Think and Grow Rich" by Napolean Hill. It is very interesting but somehow I am not able to commit or motivate myself to read. So, here we are with a brand new segment of Series Discussion. This way I can write a blog and mooch on other people's content. I have been wanting to do this for a very long time almost like a year. 🚨!!Spoilers Ahead!!🚨 The Ricklantis Mixup is by far my most favorite Rick and Morty episode. In 22 minutes, they achieved what a 2-hour or 3-hour movie may not do. In my opinion, it is one of the darkest episodes that I have seen and at the same time is very robust in making a political reality that skews towards our present-day society. BTW, Evil Morty is back babyyyy and now he becomes the president of Citadel of Rick which opens up the gates for more awesome episodes in the future. J

Book Review #20 - Windmills of the gods by Sidney Sheldon

Image
Good Day, Windmills of the gods by Sidney Sheldon Another Day Another Sidney Sheldon Babyyyyy. I am watching a lot of Rick and Morty lately 😂😂. It was not as awesome as other Sidney Sheldon books I have read but the experience was refreshing. Summary: Mary Ashley is a beautiful and intelligent professor teaching at Kansas State, is chosen to become the Ambassador of Romania by the newly elected President of USA Paul Ellison to promote his 'people to people program'. She declines the offer and in some time, her husband dies in a road accident and she agrees for the post and the plot thickens.  Will she able to forget Edward(Husband) and help the President to fulfill his project? Review: The only part of the book which I enjoyed was the ending, it escalated quickly and all the mystery of the book blew up in a couple of pages. I agree that the twist was great but the whole buildup for the moment was boring. Apart from the climax, parts where Mary m

Book Review #19 - Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life by Albert Liebermann & Hector Garcia

Image
Good Day, Ikigai by  Albert Liebermann & Hector Garcia I was continuously thinking about Japanese cuisine and their rice fields while reading the book. Either I am already obsessed with that or the book really brings out those thoughts. Read the book to find out if it holds true 😂. Summary: Outline of the book is pretty simple, it begins with giving a brief glimpse of the Japanese lifestyle in Ogimi and then various modern theories are mentioned which would help us to clearly understand their way of life and how it helps them to live longer. What is their Secret? Review: I have really liked the way the authors have tried to explain scientifically the practices which the citizens of Ogimi are following and which helps them to live longer. They have had a first hand experience which has allowed them to have a proper understanding of the situation and in turn, they have written a pretty nice book. While reading the book, it will really make you curious ab

Book Review #18 - The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson

Image
Good Day,       The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson One of the best sources for people who do not like reading books to learn the essential principles of life in a way that is least boring for them with highly relatable examples. Summary: In a way, this book is all about how to healthily channelize your energy and be selective about values you give a fuck about. The value system you choose will help to determine the type of relationship you have with people, your attitudes towards life and overall how well your mental health will be. How to choose things to give a fuck about? Review: Simple language and real-life examples that are easy to digest are the best traits of this book. In my opinion, the best concept put forward in this book is that of taking responsibility for everything that you are feeling. This way it will help you to move on from negative feelings and energy easily. The author has included a plethora of personal anecdotes i
