Book Review #14 - Desert God by Wilbur Smith

Good Day, Desert God by Wilbur Smith "Desert God" by Wilbur Smith is a historical fiction from the deserts   of Ancient Egypt yielding all the charm, pomp and culture of the time. Summary: An adroit Egyptian eunuch, a former slave and now a chief adviser to Pharaoh Tamose  named Taita is perplexed with the task of reclaiming parts of Egypt which have been usurped by Hyksos. He plots to create discord between Hyksos and Minoans. After which he would secure alliance by offering hand of Princess Tehuti and Princess Bekatha to Supreme Minos leader of Minoans. Will Taita be able to administer his stratagem to conquer the lower Egypt? Good Day, The Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy by Douglas Adams The most vividly written novel on intergalactic rigmarole is without a doubt "The Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. Disclaimer: This review is on all the five books of the series. Summary: Arthur Dent a textbook example of a simpleton/laymen gets to embark on a mind-blasting journey in which he traverses throughout the universe, travels through time, even has the pleasure of visiting parallel universes and the restaurant at the end of the universe(When universe is about to end) just because Earth has been wiped out of existence by a Vogon ship to make an intergalactic highway. Will Arthur ever be able to settle down in a place and call it home? Will the vagaries of time cease to haunt him and for once he can have a reposeful life?
